In 2013, Mi3 became a member of Investors’ Circle, a nationwide angel network that is in the top 10 of networks in terms of funds placed and is the only network among the top 10 devoted to impact investing. The organization has gone through a series of mergers including with the Social Venture Network and now with ASBN, the American Sustainable Business Network.
With a commitment to invest $50k on an annual basis, Mi3 participates in the local Philly chapter which meets monthly in downtown Philadelphia. As a member in good standing, Mi3 engages students in the trenches of angel investing. Students accompany Professor Mudd to monthly meetings to hear entrepreneur pitches, join in due diligence efforts of selected firms, help screen potential investments for presentation to the members, and participate in the continuing business of the IC Philly.
