Though Michael Weber’s first Pinwheel Day at Haverford was marred by the disappearance of the pinwheels from Founders Green early in the morning, the campus community rallied to still celebrate the springtime tradition.

Today is the day that everyone on campus has been waiting for: our unofficial start to spring when we celebrate the sunshine and warm weather with cheerful spinning pinwheels on Founders Green. And after this past winter, we really earned it!

For yesterday’s Pinwheel Day, Founders Green was festooned with scores of pinwheels spinning in the sunshine to mark the unofficial start of spring. Students picnicked among the pinwheels, played Frisbee, and brought out instruments and stereo speakers to fill the Green with music.
