Bidding for Senior Week

Bidding for Senior Week

On Thursday, Feb. 23, community members gathered in Zubrow Commons for the annual Senior Auction, hosted by the Commencement Committee. The event raises money for events during Senior Week, which is held in May prior to Commencement.

A variety of items were up for auction this year, including dinner with President Kim Benston, a basket of 12 novels recommended by Librarian of the College Terry Snyder, and a one-hour workout session with Fitness Center Director Cory Walts. Clubs and organizations also offered items, such as a private a capella concert by The Outskirts, a pizza party for 10 people at The Coop, and a one-hour throwing session with Jerome Watts ’17 from the student-run Pottery Club. The highest bid of the night, however, was for an off-campus item: $70 for 10 Weekend Round Trip SEPTA passes (valued at $10 each).
