During the summer break, a number of apartments at HCA are available for Haverford students (and BMC students, if space permits) to rent on a short-term commercial basis. All leases end in early August. The Office of Summer Programs coordinates all summer commercial rentals. Students and alumni/ae of Haverford College who reside at or are visitors of residents at Haverford College Apartments (HCA) during the summer break should be aware that the College does not provide the same services nor the same level of service to summer residents and visitors as it does during the academic year.
HCA summer residents, guests, and visitors should be aware that there is no Dean-on-Call system during the summer break, and many Dean’s Office affiliated services may not be available to students, guests, or visitors. Individual Deans and members of the Dean’s Office staff are of course available for consultation and conversation during the working day; current and former students are welcome to be in touch and set up appointments.
Offices that do not usually provide services or support to students during the summer break include, but are not limited to, Counseling and Psychological Services, the Women’s Center, and Health Services.
The Office of Summer Programs is open during summer business hours and is available to assist tenants of Haverford College Apartments with lease-related issues and concerns. Campus Safety operates 24 hours/day, 7 days a week, and is available to assist summer tenants and guests of and visitors to the College.
