Ion Birch lives and works in New York, NY. Educated at the Rhode Island School of Design, Birch is best known for his erotic graphite works on paper. In addition to inclusion in numerous group exhibitions, Birch has also had several solo exhibitions both in the United States and Europe. Included among these solo exhibitions are The Spiraling Sun at Fright + Volume and The Young Penis at Bellwether – both in New York, and at Neon Gallery Brösarp in Brösarp, Sweden. Birch and his work have been featured in articles, reviews, and interviews in such publications as Slash Magazine, Me Magazine, Art News, and the New York Times.
