Have you seen any interesting erotic graffiti on campus or nearby? Any scribbles, scrawls, “for a good time call”s? Any penises, hearts, musings, or declarations of love recorded on bathroom walls, library carrels, the inside of your sock drawer, or any other space, public or private? If so, please send us picts and locations, and we’ll include them in an interactive map of Haverford erotic graffiti.

What is this? For the current Cantor Fitzgerald Gallery exhibit, Sex Drive, Patrick Phelan ’11 started compiling images of graffiti from around campus that artist Nancy VanDevender then used to create a wallpaper design. In lieu of a standard gallery talk about their work for the show, Phelan, Michael Rushmore ’13, and Ellen Freeman ’11 have created an interactive map that allows you to explore Haverford graffiti—either virtually or, following the map in a more traditional sense, on your hands and knees with a flashlight on the floor of the bathroom in Gummere 3/3. We have our favorites. What are yours?
