Crystal Ball: Things to Come
Lee Flaherty '12 | June 6, 2010Pieces fall together this week, with the build team, design team, and greenhouse components all converging on the build site. I hope to put up at least two major updates, somewhere along the lines of “meet the team” and “bees.” Perhaps meeting the team will be done in several posts… I don’t yet know how I will present it. If I have any more time, I may discuss my thoughts on the region of South Australia in which I currently abide, and if I’m really free I’ll have something to say about water purification or greenhouses.
REGARDLESS, expect lots of wholesome goodness. At the very least you will see who I work with, learn about several species of bee, and hear my thoughts on the potential for said bees in greenhouse systems. Check daily for updates!

Great post! I’m happy you found the library and are learning your way around. You got to work pretty quickly. The fence is impressive – hope your hand feels better. It looks like a beautiful job was done in leveling the site. From your picture, it appears that there is a lot of clay in the area. Keep the pictures coming. Looking forward to the next post!

I am glad you are enjoying your adventure. It is fun living vicariously through your exploits.
Why are you focusing exclusively on bees?
Myself I like bats. The lesser long nose bat is a good pollinator of bananas and mangos.
You also get guano.
Have you had a chance to eat the local fare? I hear that Wallaby is good eatin’ mmm,,mmm mmm mm!
I am heading to Belgium for the summer. Someone has to make fun of the French.
