Currently writing this from my carrel at Carpenter Library watching youtube videos on Zineb Sedira. Her video MiddleSea will be on view during Mapping Identity, which I am currently *attempting* to discuss in a paper for my French cinema and immigration class.

Here’s a snippet, but just know that this small little thing of a video link  just doesn’t do justice compared to how it will be installed at CFG…

Working in photography, installations, videos, Zineb also writes and presents many of her own personal writings (hmm, what doesn’t she do???) concerning hybrid identity and her family’s own experiences immigrating to France from Algeria.

A short update: Met with Mike, our graphic designer, last week in regards to our exhibit  catalogue and it looks like things are off to a good start! Hmmm, yay or nay to embossed letters? Cover art or no???
