Hello everyone! My name is Janet Yoon and I’m a senior history of art major and french minor. In a unique student-faculty collaboration, Professor Carol Solomon and I are co-curating Mapping Identity, a group exhibition featuring internationally-recognized artists whose works deal with issues of transnational identity, and the effects of displacement, exile, hybridity cosmopolitanism and the state of the in-between.
This blog is meant to document the process of our exhibit from its very early stages as a mere concept to the final days leading up to our opening night. Make sure to visit frequently for updates on our progress, the many and fleeting highs and lows that go along with creating an exhibit and, of course, a sneak peek of the many talented artists who will be participating in this very exciting project!
March 19 – April 30, 2010.
Opening Reception: Friday, March 19, 2010, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m
