Two Haverford and two Bryn Mawr students will be working with Holy Family Hospital and St. Clare’s School in Koderma, India for their CPGC internships this summer.
“While in Koderma for the summer, I will be volunteering with the Clarist sisters at the Holy Family Hospital. In addition, I will have to the opportunity to teach English and the Natural sciences at a school also operated by the sisters. Along side them, I will encounter issues of illiteracy, AIDS/HIV awareness, and need for shelter. Over the next 10 weeks I hope to learn about the culture of the area and make an impact on the community to open doors to future Bi-co students to share in this experience.”
