This is some great reading! Very well-written!

As a Black American, I'm often dismayed by what appears to be mainstream America's dismissal of our particular narratives. To be Black and concerned about matters pertaining to race makes you a race-baiter, or even a RACIST.

Reading this, I remember how this country pounced on the Rev. Jeremiah Wright during the last presidential election. Sure people were free to disagree with him, but the opposing views were not what I found the most annoying aspect of the story. His opinions about the less than stellar political climate and history of this country were completely disregarded. He was labeled a racist. A traitor to his country. A NUT! One TV commentator even said Rev. Wright and his supporters should have been glad they were even in America instead of Africa.

I'd love to sit and talk with my fellow Americans (of ALL hues) about this country. The good, the bad, and the realities.
