Orientation Week!

The new Haverford House Fellows were introduced to Philadelphia during an amazing orientation week! Led by THE Meg Bishop, Haverford House Fellow of ’12-’13, we got a “taste” of what West Philadelphia life is like. We explored neighborhoods around the city, learned about places to go, and did community exercises to get to know each other better and learn about what it means to live in community. We get along great!

One awesome activity was a bike tour of green spaces in West Philly, led by Katie Monroe from the Bike Coalition of Greater Philadelphia. Who knew there were so many parks around here!?

We also got to meet some of our new neighbors when we invited them over for dessert.

We also invited past Haverford House Fellows over for dinner. It was great hearing about their experiences and about what they have done since their time at Haverford House.
