Juan Williams ’76 promoted his latest book, Muzzled: The Assault On Honest Debate, which argues that the politicization of the news from both the left and the right has shut down candid conversation and degraded the quality of debate, on The Daily Show and in Philadelphia Magazine yesterday.
On Sunday, May 15, 299 students graduated from the college, becoming the latest group of alumni in its 178-year history. Commencement 2011, which was held indoors at the Field House due to the damp weather, was filled with celebration, nostalgia, family, friends and even a few celebrities.
