The fifth annual Tri-College Film Festival featured 19 student films, culled from over 75 submissions. Six of those films were made by five Haverford students, and two won awards.
Dawit Habtemariam ’15 returned to campus to screen his Tri-Co Film Festival award-winning documentary at James House.
The recently debuted documentary about Philadelphia cooperative businesses is the second student-made film to come from the fellowship.
The four students participating in Haverford College’s newly launched Interdisciplinary Documentary Media Fellowship have returned from their first trip to the Gulf Coast: a four-day, whirlwind tour from Pensacola, Fla., to New Orleans, La., during which they filmed Assistant Professor of Chemistry Helen White and her two student interns as they collected oil samples.
Last Thursday night was packed with discussions, workshops, and presentations; there was something for everyone on the calendar!
