Three Haverford alums are among the various performers and curators who will enrich this year’s Philadelphia Fringe Festival.
Sociology major Alexandra Wolkoff started taking classes in the dance department at Bryn Mawr College during her freshman year and was so transformed by the experience that she sought to use her senior capstone project to study why.
Campus played host to two dance events on April 4: a Tri-College Contra Dance and the Tamagawa University Taiko Dance Group performance at the Spring Japanese Music Festival.
Haverford’s Black Students League hosted the annual Tri-College Black Love formal on Saturday night, Feb. 15, and unlike previous years, in which the event was open just to Tri-Co students, this year’s event welcomed students from across the Philadelphia area.
The first Mellon Tri-College Artist-in-Residence of the year featured Dr. Karl Schaffer mounting “Where Patterns Collide: Math and Dance,” an interactive workshop explored the way dance and math are naturally connected.
