Haverford Hosts the Inaugural Public Policy Forum

Haverford students hear from alumni and others at first-ever Public Policy Forum.

The new Public Policy Forum was organized by the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship, the Koshland Integrated Natural Sciences Center, the Center for Career and Professional Advising and interested faculty. The initiative is designed to acquaint Haverford College students with careers in public policy and to educate  alumni working in the sector about the public policy research seniors are conducting. Six panels at the forum covered such topics as public law, state and local development, and issues around health, environmental, domestic, and international policy.

The forum also included two poster presentation sessions for students to present their work. Other opportunities, such as a career forum, a luncheon, and a wine-and-cheese reception, provided opportunities for students to network with alumni. For full coverage, click here.
