Move-In Day 2014
On Aug. 27, we welcomed the newest members of the Haverford community, the Class of 2018, to campus. Unlike last year, the sun was out and the weather was warm as swarms of Customs people helped the new students (and their parents) move into their first-year dorms in Tritton, Barclay, Gummere, and HCA.
Move-In Day acts as the official start to Customs, Haverford’s almost-weeklong, student-run new-student orientation program, which always includes Dorm Olympics, a “Trust Walk,” and events with Bi-Co buddies at Bryn Mawr. This year, at the opening night welcome ceremony in Roberts Hall, Dean of Admission and Financial Aid Jess Lord undertook the ALS #Icebucketchallenge in honor of the newest cohort of Fords.
