About
This summer I will be interning through the Center for Peace and Global Citizenship at the Grameen Foundation, a microfinance foundation in Washington, DC. The Grameen Foundation is an offshoot of the Bangladeshi Grameen Bank, founded by the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner, Muhammed Yunus. I will be working with the CEO of the foundation as well as his assistant, putting together outreach projects, conducting research, and witnessing the inner workings of the foundation. This internship represents an incredible opportunity for me to learn about the Grameen Foundation and the ability of microfinance to affect positive, lasting change in many of the world’s poorest communities.
