« Pre-registration for the Spring is next week
Get Ready for the Home Stretch »

This is an important week

Pre-registration for the Spring Semester is in full force.  Don’t wait until the last minute to make an appointment with your faculty adviser.    The system closes on Friday, November 16th at midnight.

???????  Contact your Faculty Adviser, your UCA, Dean Williams or the Registrar, Lee Watkins.

AND

IF YOU MISSED THE MANDATORY WRITING WORKSHOPS ON SUNDAYS, HERE IS YOUR MAKE UP DAY:

Wednesday, Nov. 14, 7-8 PM, Stokes 118J

Here is how to become fluent in your language of choice (or maybe just meet some cool people who are):

La Mesa Española
Wednesdays at 6:30 PM
Bring your dinner to La Casa for Spanish table at 6:30. It’s a great chance to practice your conversational Spanish, no matter what level you are! To get to La Casa, take the stairs behind the DC – on the nature trail to the left of the Yarnall bridge. Cross the road, and La Casa is the first house on your left.

La Table Française
Fridays @ 8:00 PM – The Coop
La Table Française meets on Tuesdays at 8pm in the Coop and Fridays at 1 pm in the DC! It’s really fun, and all levels of French are welcome to join us!

4 Tips for Fighting the Flu

Flu season is here, and taking the following four simple steps to protect yourself is important.

  • Get a flu vaccine—The earlier you receive your vaccine, the less likely you are to get the flu. If you are allergic to eggs, however, you should skip the flu vaccine, as it is made with eggs.
  • Keep your hands clean—Wash your hands even more frequently and keep anti-bacterial hand sanitizer handy.
  • Improve your diet—Eating fresh fruits and vegetables that are rich in nutrients will strengthen your immune system.
  • Exercise more—Immune function increases with exercise, as do energy levels.
