Junior attacker Ariel Herm (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman HS) will be filing posts to the Fords Field Hockey in Buenos Aires blog throughout the team’s eight day trip to Argentina.
Herm has played in 33 of the team’s 34 games over her first two seasons at Haverford, scoring four times and registering one assist for a career total of nine points.
The Haverford College Field Hockey team began playing in 1980 under head coach Penny Hinckley. Much of the program’s coaching history coincides with the women’s lacrosse program including the past few years prior to current coach Colleen Quinn‘s arrival. Quinn took the reigns from lacrosse coach MaryAnn Schiller as the 2006 season began.
Last year the Fords finished with a 7-11 overall mark but dropped five games by only one goal, including a 2-1 loss to nationally-ranked No. 2 Ursinus College.
