Nick Lotito ’10
With my CPGC award, I will be traveling to Niamey, Niger, to work with the Nigerien Movement for the Defense and Promotion of Democratic and Human Rights (MNDHP). For two months, I will study Niger’s developing democratic system and its challenges, discovering what Nigeriens are doing to improve their government. I hope to get a better sense of how the United States and other developed countries impact democratic development through foreign policy and aid, with my sights on improving cooperation.
