Hi, Ariel,

I read with great interest your entry about We Are New York, and your plans to screen it with a focus group. I am the Educational Director of the series, and would love to hear any thoughts you may have about the show and to know how the group responded. I wonder which episodes you show, and if you have any plans to screen other episodes to other groups (diabetes, asthma, smoking cessation, domestic violence...)? My colleagues at the CUNY and the Mayor's Office of Adult Education would be greatly interested in hearing any feedback you may have. We are in the process of creating educational materials in support of the show. There is also a We Are New York website, which is up and running. It's www.nyc.gov/LearnEnglish. Viewers can respond directly by clicking on "Tell Us Your Story."

I look forward to hearing from you. You can reach me at david.hellman@mail.cuny.edu

All the best,

David Hellman
