About
I am a newly graduated student from Haverford College with a major in Anthropology and a concentration in Africana studies. This summer I will be assisting Professor Borowiak in his research on solidarity economy in Mexico. Additionally, role as a research intern will involve volunteer work at Comunidad AC, a Mexican non-profit organization located in Cuernavaca, Morelos. — Nour El-Youssef ’12
I will be working with three other Haverford students/recent graduates to research the solidarity economy in and around Mexico City and Cuernavaca to support Professor Craig Borowiak in the writing of his new book on the subject. In parallel, I will be working with an organization in Cuernavaca, Comunidad AC with Erik, Polina, Juan and others. I have faith in, and give my support to the solidarity economy as a global movement and an alternative to mainstream capitalism. I encourage you to check out our blogs and inform yourself on the subject. — Atena Jeretic ’14
